Bismarck Airport Continues to Add Flights

Bismarck Airport's first Allegiant flight to Orlando takes off this Saturday.

The Chamber of Commerce has been partnering with the airport for the last couple of years to help bring forward ideas on how to attract more flights to the community.

Kelvin Hullet, President of the Chamber says the numbers at the airport have continued to increase and they've had record boardings the last few years.

He says there is a desire in the community to provide more destinations for business and leisure.

"One of the concerns was that as we add flights it would eat into one carriers capacity. What we've actually seen is that the pot has grown and that's been a real dynamic and prosperous process for our community," says Kelvin Hullet, President of the Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber and airport's next goal is to find a carrier that will provide routes directly from Bismarck to Chicago and Bismarck to Texas.
