Before we know it the new year will be upon us and that means a new healthcare insurance system.
But some may still be unclear of how Obamacare effects them, so the AARP had a luncheon to answer some of those questions today.
The informative lunch covered basic questions such as what does the new law mean to people uninsured, people insured, those who have medicare and where can they go for help.
Today was one of many luncheons throughout the state this week.
One AARP official says being an informed consumer and knowing what is available with health insurance are keys to choosing what's best for you.
(Josh Askvig, Associate State Director, AARP) "There is a lot of change happening with health insurance just due to the affordable Care Act and it's implementation. So just understanding how will that impact my situation and my family's situation and knowing what decisions and decision points that you'll have to make some of those decisions."
