Chiropractic Clinic Gives Turkeys to Patients

Posted:

One chiropractic clinic is adjusting backs and giving birds.

Today's Patients at Active Life Chiropractic received a free turkey after their visit.
This is the six annual Turkey Day Giveaway for the clinic.
And while some took their turkey home, many donated those birds back to charity.

(Dr. Doug Ness / Active Life) "Once they learn what we are trying to do and they can pay it forward and it doesn't cost them anything out of their pocket. It's really great because people are seeing the benefit of helping others out too."
(Kelby Hovey / Patient) "You might be in the line for Starbucks or at Target and you see others do it and you just feel encouraged to give back yourself and it helps the community, but it makes you feel good giving back as well."

Dr. Ness says they typically see twice the number of patients on their turkey giveaway day compared to the typical number of patients.
He expects between 65 and 70 birds will be donated to the Abused Adult Resource Center.
