Velva's Winter Whimsy

Velva's Winter Whimsy

Posted: Updated:

It may be the most wonderful time of the year - but for most of us, it's also the busiest.

So today at Velva's Winter Whimsy families had the opportunity to get holiday shopping and pictures done, while enjoying holiday music and activities at the same time.

People came from all over the Minot and Velva area for the event with over 20 vendors set up, offering everything from homemade blankets to products like Norwex cleaning supplies.

Kids were entertained with movies and games all day, while parents enjoyed the holiday showcases.

One vendor says that this annual festival is the perfect way to bring the community together and get in the spirit of the season.

(Kera Pederson, Vender) "It creates a sense of - I mean today is Small Business Saturday, so get out and support your local community, have some fun, bring the kids out. It's a good day."

This year is also the first year that Velva's Winter Whimsy is hosting a wine walk, which began tonight at 7.
