Ron Burgundy Talks Anchoring With Amber Schatz, Jared Piepenburg

Posted: Updated:

It's been a wild ride having gotten the chance to anchor with Ron Burgundy.

A lot of people have been asking us about the experience, but to sum it up in a couple of words-- it's been compelling and rich.

It was such a treat to get to have him here at KX News and to learn from him.

Although our time with Ron was limited, we asked what he thought of anchoring with the KX News team.

"Amber my co-anchor she kept touching me underneath the table which I found very unprofessional and delightful at the same time."

"I think I gained quite a respect for Piepenburg, Jared I'd heard not a lot of good things I heard he was the weak link and that he was on the verge of being fired, and this kid just stepped up and nailed it, I haven't seen weather done like that since 1972, before I went to San Diego and I was in Yuma Arizona, and there was a guy by the name of Jed Fishman, and Piepenburg is a reincarnation of Jed Fishman."
