Local Business Online Sales

Posted: Updated:

Seasonal shopping continued today, but shoppers didn't have to fight the large crowds in stores.

Instead, deals were found online as a part of Cyber Monday.

One local Minot business felt the affects of the online shopping event.

Cookies for You, in downtown Minot, saw about a 20 percent increase in sales today.

Cookies for you owner, Mary Helen Hasby, says the online shopping element gives her business a chance to sell to customers near and far.

(Mary Helen Hasby, Cookies for You Owner)"People generally think that it's people who don't live here who use your website. Although that certainly is the case, local people as well use your website to see what it is that you have because maybe they can't come down to your store in person. So, the website is really advantageous to use."

Hasby says she expects to see online sales up for the next three weeks.
