A vote taking place today could approve a 12-million dollar expansion for South Prairie School.
The school district is holding a vote to expand the school facility and student population.
Currently, the school houses kindergarten through 8th grade.
If the 12-million dollar expansion plan passes, the school will become a k-12 school.
South Prairie Superintendent, Wayne Stanley, says the expansion would be cost-neutral, showing no increase in property taxes.
The vote started early this morning and ends tonight at 7.
