It's that time of the year when North Dakota school boards meet to determine the start date of the next school year.
The Mandan school board is expected to vote next Monday.
In a survey of Mandan parents, 788 people weighed in on when school should start and end.
Five calendar options were provided.
41 percent voted for the post Labor Day start and 22 percent voted for the early start date of August 21st.
37 percent of the people voted for the other options that start a week before Labor Day.
The Bismarck Public School board is expected to decide when the 2014 school year will begin at it's meeting tonight at 5:15pm.
