Little Girl's Wish Granted

Posted:

There's no better time to take a trip away from the frigid cold.

But for one family, this is no ordinary vacation.

One little girl's dream comes true.

(Nat: "What is that? "That's an airplane you're going to go fly on.")

Four-year-old Isabella Westman's dream comes true today.

"What else do you get to see in Orlando?" "Mickey Mouse," says Isabella Westman, 4 years old.

But this is no ordinary family vacation to the sunshine state.

It's a magical wish experience through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Allegiant Airlines.

Isabella was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

"Basically she has half a heart. She's gone through three major surgeries to re-route everything," says Summer Henschel, Isabella's Mom.

Isabella got a pacemaker put in this year, and due to earlier complications, her trip was put on hold until she was healthy enough to fly.

"But as you can see her jumping around, she's doing really good now," says Kayla Pederson, Director of Program Services, Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Allegiant is sponsoring all of the flights for Isabella's entire family - - right down to their luggage and priority boarding - - VIP the whole way.

Isabella isn't a huge Disney Princess fanatic, but a lover of animals - one's she can't wait to see while she's there.

"Like zebras and tigers." "That'll be fun!" "Yeah," says Westman.

It's an experience Isabella will never forget and a feeling no words can describe.

"Awesome," says Henschel.

"Just seeing the kids smile and just seeing the excitement in their eyes rather than seeing them think about their condition and deal with their medical condition, just seeing the happiness in their face," says Pederson."

And the happiness on Isabella's face is crystal clear.

This is Allegiant's 68th wish trip provided to Make-A-Wish families and the first wish in Bismarck.
