What kind of legislative initiatives would business leaders in North Dakota like to see in the next session in Bismarck?

That's the question the Greater North Dakota Chamber is asking in a tour of the state.

The North Dakota Chamber held a conference with local business people in Minot today.

Topics up for discussion included tax relief and reform, healthcare in the state, housing, and child care.

The group's president and CEO says gathering ideas and comments from people who do business every day in North Dakota is a great way to get started on the legislative agenda the state chamber will develop for the 2015 session.

(Andy Peterson, GNDC President & CEO)"You get a whole different sense of where someone is at in a conversation when you're talking to them face to face. That's why business people travel, that's why sales people travel, and that's why we get out and around the state and you find out things you would not find out if you stayed in Bismarck."

Minot is just one several stops the Chamber has made in the state.
