We often hear the word "nativity" during Christmas time--it is another name for birth.
Today, the nativity of Jesus came alive at the West Minot Church of God.
This is the fifth year the church has showcased the story of Jesus' birth for the community to see.
The nativity featured actors who are members of the church and real live animals including an alpaca, a donkey, and a miniature horse.
The story can be told in many different formats--Pastor Chris Ondrovich says the live nativity is a creative way to tell it to the community.
(Pastor Chris Ondrovich, Nativity Actor) "You see it on TV or you come to a church. You hear it and you read it. Well, this is an opportunity for everyone to personally get to experience it where the kids can come in and they hear the music and they can pet the animals and they can meet Joseph and Mary and Jesus and a couple of the wise men here."
