It may be the "most wonderful time of the year," but it's also the most congested time of the year at the Minot International Airport.
Airport officials say the day before Christmas Eve is the busiest day they encounter in a normal year.
And today was no exception.
The parking lot, driveway, and inside the terminal were packed with people today.
There were reports of taxis taking people as far as Bismarck and Grand Forks to catch flights with seats available.
If you find yourself still planning a flight in the next few days, remember to arrive at least two hours early.
And here's a helping hand - there are free shuttles running from the overflow parking to the terminal through the week.
