Texas Hold'em Tournament

Posted: Updated:

How would you like to have started the new year with $50,000 dollars in your pocket?
That was the case for one card player from Canada.
The tenth annual North Dakota Texas Hold'em Tournament declared Jeff Bugg the champion shortly before midnight on New Year's Eve.
Bugg is from Melita, Manitoba, shown here with the ten finalists yesterday evening.
The three day tournament attracted more than 12-hundred players from 19 states and Canada.
Gaming is sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association and a portion of the proceeds help fund scholarships at Minot State University.
