A Minot High School junior is a step closer to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and the YWCA has been able to some projects off its to-do list thanks to his work.
Adam Schutt presented the Minot YWCA with a check for 356 dollars yesterday...that's money left over after he helped organize and complete three different projects at the YWCA.
You see a before and after here of the work done outside to help add a little curb-appeal to the downtown location.
The projects will earn him his Eagle Scout badge in a few weeks.
(Adam Schutt, Minot High Junior) "I came here and asked Linda if she had anything that she needed done and she said the landscaping, some sheds, and a swing set. We took all three of them and decided to work on those."
(Linda Randolph, YWCA Resident Director) "Adam was able to organize other Boy Scouts to help in the project. I think it is just awesome. He did a wonderful job and we are all very proud of what he did."
Schutt is a member of Boy Scout Troop 437 at the Minot Air Force Base.
He says when he graduates high school in a year and a half, he plans on going into the Air Force.
