Lincoln Kicks Off First Day at New School

Posted:

It's the first day back after Christmas break for area schools.

But it's Lincoln Elementary's very first day of school ever.

A ribbon cutting ceremony kicks off the excitement.

Officials, organizations, and individuals a part of making this project happen are all in attendance.

Tamara Uselman, Superintendent of Bismarck Public Schools says she's happy with how the work came together to create this school for the community.

"I think it really acts as an agent in building a community up and bonding it together around a common good. So I think it moves from that centerpiece of an attractive building to a cornerstone of here's how you move a community forward into the future," says Tamara Uselman, Superintendent of Bismarck Public Schools.>>

A public open house was also held from 3 to 6pm today fro parents and Lincoln residents.
