One Man Dead after Accident on Main in Mandan

One man is dead and another injured following a head-on collision on Main in Mandan this afternoon.

Highway Patrol Captain Kyle Kirchmeier says 68-year-old the driver of a red truck was westbound around 3:15.

He says it appears the man passed out, ran over a concrete divider and ran head-on into this gray car.

The truck then bounced off the car and hit a transport van. No one in the van was injured.

CPR was given to the man in the truck. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the gray vehicle was also taken by ambulance to a hospital. His condition is unknown.

The accident remains under investigation.
