Minot's south side is about to get even busier with openings set for the next week, and it started yesterday with Holiday Station Store opening for business next to Home Depot.

The convenience store is open 24 hours a day and has a car wash attached and is the first to open on this large piece of property that used to house the studios of KX News.

On Broadway, you'll find a new face here at State Farm Insurance...and it may be a face you recognize for some reason.

This is the office of Jessica DeCercq.

Jessica is a Saskatchewan native who has been with State Farm for more than a decade, most recently in Mayville, but she has made the move to Minot now at the start of 2014.

(Jessica DeClercq, State Farm Agent) "We specialize in relocations to the area, we do everything from auto, home, life, health, banking products, mutual funds."

You may recognize Jessica, she was featured in a national advertising campaign with State Farm about two years ago.

Finally, there has been ownership change and a re-opening of Chile Verde in downtown Minot.

In fact, the restaurant has gotten a bit of a make-over both in looks and in food.

You'll find authentic Mexican food here cooked by folks who have been making it their entire lives.

Management of the restaurant has been turned over the to Mata family, who recently arrived from North Carolina, bringing with them many dishes...

(Lisa Mata, Chile Verde) "Our menu used to be three pages, and now it is eight! Everybody is surprised by the choices."

Chile Verde is open seven days a week.

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
