Water Main Break Impacts Business

Water Main Break Impacts Business

Posted: Updated:

A major water main break near the intersection of second avenue and fourth street southwest has effected several businesses in the area.

Most establishments have been able to carry on without water.

However, Mirror Mirror Salon co-owner Linda Dutenhafer says that they have had to shut their doors to clientele for the week.

(Linda Dutenhafer, Co-owner, Mirror Mirror Salon) "We need running water to do hair; for colors and cuts, and wash towels and pedicures and manicures so... But it started last week then we were informed that it would be down, basically that we wouldn't get water until this weekend."

Dutenhafer and the other owners of the salon are taking the time off in stride and using it to their benefit with some updates to the interior.

(Linda Dutenhafer, Co-owner, Mirror Mirror Salon) "We decided to get some painting done since were down. We have two rooms that we do our facials and pedicures in and we are changing the look on that. We're going to brighten it up a little bit. So, our painters are just finishing up. So, that will be all ready to go by the time we get started again next week."
