Bremer Grant Helps Seniors

Posted: Updated:

Bremer Bank donated one hundred thousand dollars to the Minot Commission on aging today.

Thanks to faithful customers, Bremer was able donate over one million dollars in the Minot area alone.

Minot Commission on Aging Board Member, Mike Nilson, says they are just over half way to their eight hundred thousand dollar budget goal.

They plan to make the ground floor of the Parker Center a much more usable and enjoyable space for the entire community.

(Mike Nilson Chairman, Minot Commission for Aging) "So we're looking at renovating the coffee shop and up in that area, and the lobby area and then this area will all be renovated with smaller areas that we can have smaller meetings, larger meetings. Got meals on wheels, will have an extended, you know, a larger area to work with. So it's going to be really nice for the seniors."

Nilson also hopes that this donation will light a spark for further donations from around the community to build a strong financial foundation for this renovation.
