Minot State University has extended the application deadline for presidential candidates until January sixteenth.

Presidential Search Committee Chairman Terry Hjelmstad, says that they are looking for someone with Presidential experience in the programs available at M-S-U, who fits into the general atmosphere and who might even have some midwest ties.

Hjelmnstad said the committee is expecting about thirty candidates and will be narrowing that number down over the next few weeks.

(Terry Hjelmstad, Minot State University, Chairman of Presidential Search Committee) "On the twenty second, we're going to sit down as a committee, go through those applicants and pick from eight to ten people that we are going to do an Ivan search. From that, we will select five to six people that we are going to interview on campus, give them a chance to be on campus and that will take place sometime the first week of February."

The Presidential Search Committee will make their final decision February nineteenth. The next President of Minot State University will take office this June.
