County Library Board Considers Future

Posted: Updated:

The Ward County Library will be moving to the ground floor of the new county office building now under construction in Minot.

That's the news members of the Ward County Library Board got from county commissioner Shelly Weppler today.

She told the group that it's unclear exactly when the existing County Library will have to be vacated, but she said it's possible it could stay open until the new building is ready to move into.

One question that remains unanswered is where the library's bookmobile will be stored - it's currently kept in a garage in the county library building but if the building is torn down, a new location will have to be found.
