McEvers Appointed New ND Supreme Court Justice

A new justice is installed into the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Judge Lisa Fair McEvers is filling the vacancy of retired Justice Mary Maring.

McEvers has been a District Judge in the East Central Judicial District since 2010.

She has also served as Commissioner of the Department of Labor.

McEvers was one of four finalists for the Supreme Court position.

"Had I not sought the opportunities people encouraged me to seek, I would not have gained the wide variety of experiences that have led me to the Supreme Court. Thank you all for being part of my journey. Thank you again, Governor Dalrymple, for giving me this opportunity I will never forget," says Justice Lisa Fair McEvers, ND Supreme Court.

McEvers graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1997.
