The Presidential Search Committee at Minot State University has narrowed thirty seven presidential applicants down to eight.
Candidates who made it though the first cut will be interviewed via Internet while they are still in their current positions
Terry Hjelmstad, the chairman of the committee feels that they have selected eight potential presidents who all have qualifying experience, though no one candidate more than the rest.
(Terry Hjelmstad, MSU Presidential Search Committee Chairman) "I think they stood out from the other thirty seven. Some of them had experience, some of them had a little bit more advanced degrees. And we found some very good qualities in the ones we selected and that's the ones that are going on."
The presidential search committee will narrow these contenders to five who will be invited to visit M-S-U's campus for a final round of interviews this February.
