Orchestra Ready for Families

Posted: Updated:

The Minot Symphony Orchestra is gearing up for another musical journey this weekend and the whole family is invited for the ride.

The orchestra is presenting its annual family orchestra performance this weekend.

The concert is called MSO Family: Exploring the Orchestra.

The concert will feature many selections including a performance of Benjamin Britten's "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" narrated by MSU President Dr. David Fuller.

An instrument petting zoo will also be available before the concert and during intermission in which youth can learn about orchestra instruments.

Orchestra Director, Scott Seaton, says the performance will offer a little something for everyone to enjoy.

(Scott Seaton, MSO Music Director) "The Minot Symphony is Minot. It represents the entire community. It's really great to get together with your friends, bring your children, bring your family, your cousins, whoever it may be. It's a great experience and it's growing all of the time."

The performance is Saturday at 7:30 at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall.

You can visit Minot-symphony-dot-com or call 858-4224 to purchase tickets.
