The main east-west tracks of the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad are open again following a derailment yesterday afternoon.
Crews worked through the night and into this morning, moving the mess from the tracks and off-loading the grain in the eleven full grain cars that left the tracks onto trucks.
The derailment happened at the Dakota Quality Grain Elevator in Ross - right along Highway Two.
A BNSF official said the 109-car train was westbound when the accident happened about 2:15 yesterday afternoon - and that high winds may have been to blame.
There were no injuries in the accident.
