Williston Man Seeking State Senate Seat

A longtime Williston city council member wants to become a state senator from

District One.

Brad Bekkedahl announced today he would seek the Republican Party's endorsement for the senate seat being vacated by Republican Stan Lyson lee-son, who is retiring from the legislature.

Bekkedahl has served for 18 years on the city commission and previously was a member of the Williston Park Board.

Also today, incumbent Republican Representatives Pat Hattlestad and Gary Sukut announced their intentions to seek re-election to the state legislature representing District One.

Election day for the state house and senate is in November.
