MSU Women's Basketball

Posted: Updated:

Fresh off of a home weekend sweep last weekend, the Minot State women's basketball team hits the road this weekend for a pair of Interdivisional games taking on Concordia St. Paul and

Minnesota State Mankato. The Lady Beavers, as well as both of their opponents, come in with 10-4 records which means both games will be good tests for Minot State who is just 1 game back of division leading Northern State.

Sheila Green-Gerding, MSU Women's Basketball Coach:Concordia and Mankato are both two very good teams. Concordia is real solid with their first five, not real deep, they've got good inside game, good outside game, point guard gets to the free throw line and has been there about 141 times in 18 games just really, really balanced so we got to do our job of picking and choosing where they're going to get their shots from. Mankato's a little bit more up and down that's kind of their game so it will be interesting to see it might be a real fast paced game. They're very deep. They go about 11 deep and have several kids that play 15 to 20 minutes a game and again kind of two similar style teams.

Chris Boag, Junior:It's going to be a very big weekend for us and it's going to be even better when we get the two wins to help us in our standings but they both have an inside and outside game so it's going to be a pretty good matchup for us.

Carly Boag, Senior:We've got some good matchups we got Chris is on I think a point guard or shooter and stuff and Katie and I inside but I think we'll have a good matchup with them.
