MSA United Way Annual Luncheon

Posted:

MSA United Way has a lot to celebrate as they look back on 2013.

About 450 community members join United Way at their Annual Luncheon and awards ceremony.

Bismarck, Mandan, and surrounding communities helped MSA United Way exceed their two million dollar goal raising two million 100,000 dollars.

United Way says they still see an increase in needs, especially in the social services industry.

"We are just trying to be as proactive, we are no longer putting a band aid on some of the problems that are happening in our community but really trying to take a proactive approach with our 30 plus some agencies to work together doing true collaboration because not one agency can do it by itself so continue to have community impact and work together with our agencies," says Amber Jensen, Marketing & Events Coordinator, MSA United Way.

The money raised by United Way and the community will go to support 31 partner agencies this year.
