Dickinson Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision North of South Heart

A Dickinson man has died following an two-vehicle accident north of South Heart Friday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of the victim in the crash.

57-year-old Kenneth Jurgens of Dickinson.

According to the Patrol, Jurgens was driving a pickup on Old Highway 10 from Belfield to Dickinson, when he did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 10 and 121st Avenue Southwest.

The driver of a southbound Freightliner truck hit the brakes, but could not avoid a collision.

Jurgens was killed in the collision.

The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.
