Bismarck Man Wins Big Super Bowl Bet in Las Vegas

What happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas!

A Bismarck man wins big in Sin City, thanks to a lucky guess about what would happen at the Super Bowl.

For the last 10 years, Vernon LeBlanc and his son have been going to Las Vegas to bet on the Super bowl.

Sunday, Vernon put 20 bucks down that the first score of the game would be a safety, and if you happened to watch the first play of the game, you know that he won big.

With 50 to one odds, Vernon ended up cashing out with a thousand dollars thanks to his prediction.

"Is that the biggest pay out you've ever gotten off of a Super Bowl bet while you're down in Vegas? Yes it is, yes it is. I've made bigger bets but haven't won them, for smaller odds. This was a small bet for big odds." says Vernon LeBlanc.

Vernon says he couldn't pass up the 50 to 1 odds.

He also bet 100 dollars on the Broncos winning, and even though he lost that money, he walked away with a lot more.
