Knights Prepare for Lions

Posted: Updated:

The Our Redeemer's boys basketball team will wrap up regular season play tomorrow night when the Knights meet up with cross town rival Bishop Ryan in a district 12 matchup. The Knights can lock up the 2nd seed in the district with a win and could fall to the 4th seed with a loss. Meanwhile Bishop Ryan is tied for 3rd in the district with Berthold.

The Knights will get 6'6 sophomore John Reiten back in the lineup after missing the last 3 games with an injury and are coming off of a 15 point win over Surrey on Saturday while the Lions are coming off of a win over MLS.

Jeremy Feller, Mustangs Coach:Tuesday's going to be a big one for us it's not only our last district game it's our last game of the year and you know a win keeps us in the two seed by ourselves, a loss would put us in a 3 way tie for second and potentially drop us what looks like to be into 4th place so you know a win would be big for us and a win would be big for Ryan. You know I look at Ryan a lot like I look at Berthold you know they got some good guards, they got some speed, they got some shooters and they don't necessarily put a lot of size down low but they are able to defend and are able to play big down low also. On paper we definitely have the size advantage, we get John back, we haven't had him for the last 3 district games now so we missed him inside and getting an actual post back will not only get that extra starter back in the lineup but also help our rotations a little bit better.

Nick Stenvold, Senior:Brody Bosch is a really good player from Ryan, he's got, he can get to the basket, he can shoot, he's really an all-around player, he's good and the rest of the team they can put up numbers we just Ota play constant defense and we got everyone back so that should help a lot.

John Reiten, Sophomore:It's going to be a close matchup, it's in their gym and their crowd brings a lot so we'll have to bring our own energy and try and instill that energy that they have and play forward and play to our game.>>

Game time tomorrow night at Bishop Ryan will be at 7:15.
