60 Years in Kiwanis

Posted: Updated:

If you have lived in Minot a few years, you probably know the name Earl Allen. Well, today marks his sixty years of membership with Kiwanis-- that's right, he's been in the organization sine 1954.

Allen has spent the majority of his life being a political voice and community leader. His step-son Tim said that he hopes to follow those footsteps.

(Tim Knutson, Stepson) "With Earl, he is the man of Minot. Everybody kind of knows him as the watchdog. I think for him to be apart of Kiwanis is so natural, because he has been so involved in Minot, and Kiwanis is so involved in Minot, and is very committed. Let alone being a member for sixty-years, he went thirty-seven years with never missing a meeting. I don't know if you can have another Earl, I mean, but he does inspire people to do more."

Allen is now over 90, and with some help continues to be a regular at Kiwanis meetings.
