Crop Improvement Plans

Posted: Updated:

This winter we are pressing through right now has certainly been cold...but snowfall amounts have dropped off considerably the last few weeks.

That is welcome news to farmers who entered the fall and winter with saturated fields.

Those conditions were a topic of discussion today at the annual meeting of the Ward County Agricultural Improvement Association.

President Steve Beck says the get together is a great chance to talk with neighbors about what worked...and what didn't work the year previous.

A topic today -- Prevent Plant.

Wet conditions have forced many farmers to the program recently...

(Steve Beck, Pres. - Ward Co. Ag Improvement Association) "Prevent Plant is being talked about again this year. We went into the fall wet and it is just...there are changes in PP that are coming up and we want to educate producers today on some of those changes."
