If you've wondered about the odd-shaped contrails in the sky over north-central North Dakota this week - here's the answer.
It seems the Minot Air Force Base is conducting some training flights for B-52 bombers that require shorter-than-usual flights.
So instead of performing the high-altitude maneuvers over some other state, they're happening right over our heads.
And that results in the circular, oval, and figure-8 type contrails that mark the path of the bombers.
So, no conspiracy theories here - it's just Air Force training.
