The Ward County Sheriff's Department is investigating an early morning incident where shots were fired at a home just east of Minot.
Neighbors reported hearing the shots at about three this morning, and the homeowners discovered their home had been hit at about 5:45.
This is the home, located in the 23-hundred block of 55th Street SE.
It is believed it was hit three times.
Three people were home at the time, but nobody was injured.
Three bullets were found in the home -- one in the kitchen, and two more were found in a bedroom that was unoccupied at the time.
Lt. Larry Hubbard with the Ward County Sheriff's Department says they have a handle on where the bullets were fired from...but as to who did it -- that answer can be tough to find.
(Lt. Larry Hubbard - Ward Co. Sheriff's Dept.) "Don't know if there is any connection with the homeowners in the house or if this is random. A lot of the times we rely on people giving us information, some type of vehicle description, any information that will lead us to a suspect and try to link things up from there."
About four other homes in the area were checked to see if they had been hit as well, as neighbors reported hearing up to six shots fired -- but no other bullets have been found.
You can contact the Ward County Sheriff's office if you have any information in the case.
