Technology Day at MSU

Posted: Updated:

The Business Information Technology Department at Minot State welcomed high school students this morning for the sixteenth annual Technology Day.

The program benefits not only the High School students who get to compete in practical business applications but also the Business Education Majors who organize and manage the entire competition, except the judging which is left to M-S-U faculty and members of the Business Education Honors Society.

Underwood High School was the team to beat since they have dominated the seven individual events for the past 5 years. Business Education Major, Mallory Brodal says they have provided a variety of tasks...

(Mallory Brodal, MSU Business Education Major) "There's a couple, like the accounting and business law are both, just paper tests, but desktop publishing, word processing, and the spread sheets are all over the computer and they have to create the document themselves."

It turns out that Underwood has successfully defended their title winning a sweepstakes trophy with their cumulative scores for the sixth year in a row.
