Red Cross Seeking Relief Rooms

Posted: Updated:

The Four Points Sheraton that sits on the south-end of town will forge a new relationship with The American Red Cross to help victims of natural disasters.

The Hotel's first initiative to help recovering residents came after the Chateau Apartments burned down in December. Now, the Four Points has set aside thirty rooms anytime a similar event happens.

(David Wick, Hotel Manager)"This last year, when we had fires in town that affected family's, they needed a place to stay. We had them stay with us. I was also one that was removed from my home during the flood, so I know what it's like to de displaced, and that need of needing a place to stay, is something that I can relate to."

The Rooms for Red Cross program began in Fargo ten years ago. As of last year-- the project now has fifty-five hotels donating four-hundred and fifty rooms across North Dakota.
