Police Arrest Two for Prostitution Crimes

Posted:

Bismarck police arrested a 67-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman for prostitution related crimes.

A Bismarck hotel employee called police about a guest she believed was engaging in prostitution.

She reported that 67-year-old Marvin Lord met people in the lobby of the hotel and escorted them to his room where Junqin Chen was.

An undercover officer posed as a potential client and was offered sex by Chen once he was in the room. The officer then placed the two under arrest.

In an affidavit, Marvin told Bismarck police that Junqin is his wife.

When asked if he knew why police were there, Marvin replied "prostitution."

The prostitution charge is a 'b' misdemeanor. Chen pleaded not guilty to the charge in court Friday. A jury trial is scheduled for March 6th.

Lord's facilitating prostitution charge is a 'c' felony. Lord is being held on 10% of $20,000 cash only bond.

Both people arrested list Festus, Missouri as their home address.
