Bond Set for Stabbing Suspect

District Court Judge Doug Mattson ruled that bond will remain at $400,000 for a suspect in an attempted murder case.

Heather Leavitt was charged with attempted murder on the first of this month.

She allegedly stabbed her husband, Timothy Leavitt 8 times.

Today her attorney asked for bond to be lowered from the original $400,000.

Requiring more information, Judge Mattson called for more time.

The Minot Police Department is working in conjunction with the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

Both husband and wife are active duty military members.
