It's the signature fundraiser for the Girls Scouts of America --- and it kicked off this weekend.
Yesterday was the first day of cookie sales, so
today, troops from all over the Minot area came together at the Dakota Square Mall to get the community involved.
Family members and friends played games like blindfolded cookie tasting to bring everyone in and show what they have to offer.
This was their first year having the event open to the public, and they say it was a successful day.
One troop leader says that the girl scouts gain long term skills through making the sales.
(Dani Ranger, Brownie Girl Scout Leader) "One of the big things is that the girls learn at a younger age to set goals, and they learn to attain them. And when they do that, they can reach higher in life. And that is a huge thing."
Girl Scout cookies are being sold at Marketplace Food locations every weekend through mid-March.
