About ten thousand gallons of saltwater leaked from an oil well site near Alexander this weekend, and headed for a nearby stream.
The state Health Department was notified of the spill Saturday night.
Kris Roberts of the Health Department says inspectors are looking at the situation.
He says some of the saltwater escaped from the well site, running over ice to a tributary of Lonesome Creek.
But he says there is no water flowing right now and no contamination of public water supplies.
The spill happened about three miles west of Alexander.
