55th Crossing

Posted: Updated:

Land preparation is underway for Fifty-fifty crossing--a new housing addition in the area.

Today-- developers met with realtors to discuss the future of the property.

The lots sit just southeast of town, and once provided space for FEMA's temporary housing units.

But, after the trailers moved away, I-M-M thought the land could be turned into a new kind of community.

(Mike Duffy, IMM Investors) "It's a master planned community of about 530 acres. Includes the inter grated park system, multiple different land uses, from our trailer parks, single family, multi-family commercial, and we think that it will be a great live, work, play neighborhood."

Prices from the homes are predicted to start around the one-sixties and end in the mid two-hundreds.

I-M-M said construction should begin this Fall.
