North Dakota Ranks 1st in Job Creation

Posted: Updated:

North Dakota tops the list in job creation for the 5th year in a row.

Gallup's Job Creation Index shows North Dakota is the best state for creating jobs.

Employers are hiring workers rather than letting them go.

President of Greater North Dakota Chamber, Andy Peterson sees job opportunities in all sectors, especially agriculture and energy.

"Everyone is hiring because the more economic activity that happens the more jobs it generates. Its kind of a self perpetuating prophecy that's very positive," said Andy Peterson, President & CEO Greater North Dakota Chamber.

Peterson is not surprised that North Dakota has ranked first for the last five years.
