Borner Pleads Not Guilty to Charges Involving Drugs in Prison

Posted:

A man who is in jail for charges related to a murder in Beulah pleads not guilty to additional charges.

Police arrested Cody Borner in 2012 for his involvement in the death of Michael Padilla in Beulah.

Since then Mercer County authorities brought 10 additional charges against him including terrorizing and reckless endangerment.

The most recent charges involve possession of drugs in jail.

Court documents say someone threw the drugs over the fence in the rec yard and Borner smoked it outside.

A court document says Borner had a marijuana cigarette and ate it.

He is also accused of tampering with evidence for dumping his urine sample.

His next court appearance is scheduled for March.
