Many Senior Citizens and middle to low income people who received free tax help in the past may not be served as quickly --or at all-- this tax season.
Last year, Gary Ellingson and two part-timers were able to serve nearly 400 people in conjunction with the AARP and American Red Cross.
However, a decline in volunteers this year means he will be working harder than ever to help as many people as possible.
(Gary Ellingson, Local Coordinator for AARP Tax Aide) "We may not be able to do all the returns, all the people that could use our help. A lot of them are lower incomes and retired and that's a service we provide to help them -make it a little simpler for them to get their taxes done. And we're not going to be able to do everybody if we don't get enough people."
Ellingson encourages Senior Citizens and those who have a lower income to make their appointments as soon as possible.
