MSU President Candidate Visits

Posted: Updated:

Another presidential candidate visited Minot State this afternoon.

Nick Piccolo answered questions from students and committees at the University today.

Piccolo comes from Michigan's Alma College-- where he was the Vice President of Student Life. That means he covered housing, residential life, and a laundry list of others. He says coming to North Dakota has been a short but memorable visit.

(Nick Piccolo, Candidate) "This is the full on experience, and even now it's so brief. What I really wish I could do is sit down over a cup of coffee and pick peoples brains, learn more and more about Minot. It's real fun to be here, it's real exciting, and actually I am enjoying it. I'm really enjoying it a lot."

The other two finalists for the president's job will be on campus through the week.

The state Board of Higher Education will pick a new president to replace Dr. David Fuller at the end of the month.

It's almost here...The 2014-2015 school year is less than a month away, and districts around the region are trying to get a handle on just how many kids will come through the doors on that first day.
