Two More Oil Spills Reported in Western North Dakota

Posted:

The North Dakota Health Department reported a pair of oil spills in Western North Dakota.

Zavanna, LLC reported that 300 barrels of crude oil spilled near Williston.

Some of the oil sprayed onto agricultural land near the spill site.

The company says 295 of the barrels have been recovered.

The other spill was near Watford City.

It involved 35 barrels of crude oil that sprayed over almost two acres of land.

It also sprayed over an area that includes a small pond.

Newfield Production Company says it has recovered about 20 barrels from that spill.

Health department inspectors traveled to both scenes.
