Civil Air Patrol Joins in Search for Missing Jamestown Woman

The Civil Air Patrol has joined in the search for a missing Jamestown woman.

78-year-old Ruby Grenz of Jamestown has been missing since 5 p.m. Tuesday, when she was last seen leaving the 2nd Avenue Beauty Salon on the north end of Jamestown.

Grenz drove away in a silver Dodge minivan and hasn't been seen since.

The wing deployed 23 of its volunteers to the Jamestown Airport this morning along with four Cessna search aircraft.

One of the planes has a thermal imaging sensor.

Two ground teams have been deployed to assist other ground searchers.

Grenz is 5-foot-2, 138 pounds, wears glasses with brown and blue frames and was last seen wearing a rust-colored fleece Columbia coat, red sweater and brown pants. Her vehicle is a silver 2005 Dodge Caravan with North Dakota license plate HNW560.

The patrol is urging the public to check property and buildings for Grenz and her vehicle.
