UTTC DeMaND Program Features Simulators

Posted:

If you've ever wanted to learn how to operate heavy equipment, United Tribes Technical College will put you in the driver's seat...literally.

UTTC displays their new workforce training technology at an open house.

People can try their hand at the wheel of a big-rig in this simulator.

The high-tech equipment is used in the college's DeMaND program which helps prepare students for high demand careers.

"From everything that I've learned, I'm amazed because we can learn everything from shifting properly, learning how to shift, downshifting, driving a truck, backing a truck up, safe operations of a heavy operating machine and yeah, just basically everything," says Jordan Wade Davis, Student in CDL Program, UTTC.

UTTC's DeMaND program also offers construction, electrical, and welding technology and Tribal Environmental Science.
