Search for Missing Jamestown Woman Ends in Tragedy

A search for a Jamestown woman ends in tragedy.

Maj. Johnson with the Jamestown Police Department confirms 78-year-old Ruby Grenz who has been missing since earlier this week, was found dead northwest of town.

According to the Jamestown police department, Ruby Grenz was found deceased in her vehicle in an open field around 11:15 Saturday morning.

Maj. Johnson with the Jamestown police says Ruby was found by local firemen, just barely in city limits.

78-year-old Ruby Grenz was last seen Tuesday evening at Second Avenue Salon in Jamestown, where she had a hair appointment.

The Civil Air Patrol put up four planes to look for any trace of her.

The Prayers for Ruby Grenz facebook page also confirms that the search for Ruby ended in tragedy.

Hundreds of people have written on the wall, offering their condolences.
